Condensation on the Windows Again? The Little 500ml Tub That Dries Out Any Room - No Electricity
Every autumn it starts again. You pull back the curtains and the window is crying - beads of condensation running down the glass, pooling on the sill, soaking into the paintwork. You wipe it with a cloth, and tomorrow it is back. Bedroom windows, bathroom mirrors, the car windscreen, the cold corner of the kitchen - the same battle, every single morning.
The Nyxi Interior Dehumidifier is the simplest weapon against it: a small 500ml tub of fast-acting crystals that quietly pulls moisture out of the air, anywhere you put it. No electricity, no noise, no refill gadgets to buy - just place it, watch it fill, and bin it when it is done.
Half a litre per tub: each little tub collects up to 500ml of water from the air around it. Give it 2-3 weeks and you will see exactly how much moisture your room was hiding - customers are amazed every time.
What Is an Interior Dehumidifier?
It is the small, non-electric cousin of the big plug-in machines - sometimes called a moisture absorber, crystal dehumidifier or desiccant dehumidifier. The tub contains moisture-absorbing crystals that naturally draw water vapour from the air. The crystals slowly dissolve as they work, and the collected water gathers in the base of the tub - visible proof it is doing its job. When the crystals are gone and the tub is full, you simply dispose of it and place a fresh one.
The Everyday Damp Problems It Solves
- Condensation on windows - the classic UK autumn problem, worst in bedrooms overnight
- Steamy bathrooms - moisture that lingers long after the shower
- Musty cupboards and wardrobes - trapped air with nowhere to go
- Misty car windscreens - damp car interiors that fog up every cold morning
- Caravans, boats and garages - closed-up spaces that turn damp over winter
Why the Nyxi Tub Beats the Alternatives
Room by Room - Where to Put Them
- Bedroom windowsill - the number one spot. One customer watched three weeks of window condensation simply stop
- Bathroom - on a shelf away from direct splashes, it quietly mops up shower steam all day
- Kitchen - near the coldest wall or window, where cooking steam condenses
- Wardrobes, cupboards and drawers - anywhere clothes and shoes live (for hanging rails, see our hanging bags below)
- Cars - on a flat, stable spot in a parked car it fights the damp that mists your windscreen. Secure or remove it before driving
- Caravans, boats and garages - leave a few tubs in over winter and come back to a dry, fresh space
Tubs, Hanging Bags or Electric - Which Do You Need?
They work brilliantly as a team: tubs on the sills, hanging bags in the wardrobes, and for whole-room damp problems, our guide to beating damp, condensation and mould in UK homes covers the electric options.

What Our Customers Say
Amazing
It's been three weeks and I can see a massive difference - it's sucked in a lot of moisture from my bedroom window. No more condensation. Yes it really works! For the price of 6 dehumidifiers you can't go wrong.
Wadud - January 2026
It does actually work
I had mine at the windows where most of the moisture comes in, and it has helped - the humidity in the room has gone down. Give it a couple of weeks to get going. Good for poorly insulated houses.
Nikko - Nyxi customer

Interior Dehumidifier FAQs
How do I use an interior dehumidifier?
Simply place the tub on a flat, stable surface in the damp area - a windowsill, shelf or cupboard floor. The crystals start drawing moisture straight away, and the water collects visibly in the base. No setup, no power, no maintenance.
How long does each tub last?
Typically 4-8 weeks depending on how damp the space is. When the crystals have dissolved and the tub is full, replace it with a fresh one. Expect visible results within 2-3 weeks - customers consistently report the difference around then.
Can I use one in my car?
Yes - it is a popular fix for damp car interiors and misty windscreens. Place it on a flat, stable spot while the car is parked, and secure or remove it before driving so the collected water cannot spill.
Are they safe around children and pets?
The crystals and collected water stay inside the tub, but as with any moisture absorber, place them out of reach of curious children and pets, and do not drink the collected water.
Interior dehumidifier vs electric dehumidifier - which do I need?
Tubs are perfect for targeted spots: windows, small rooms, cupboards, cars. For a whole room with serious damp, or for drying laundry indoors, an electric dehumidifier does the heavy lifting - and many customers use both together.
